Tale of the Tune:
This song, like most of the songs I write, is based on a true story.
 
One year at the Mardi Gras parade in St. Louis (the Saturday parade in Soulard), I was on a float with some friends of mine. It was amazing! The closest thing to being on stage that I’ve ever felt while not on stage. People love beads.
 
Anyway, I was supposed to meet up with some other friends, but I couldn’t find them, so I was Lost at Mardi Gras.  It turned into the best Mardi Gras ever just because of the sheer coincidence of running into all the friends I wasn’t there to meet. It was amazing!
