Tale of the Tune:
I wrote this song yesterday, March 29, 2018, at about 5:15pm. Opening Day of the 2018 MLB season. 
 
I was going to write a song soley about opening day, but as it always does, the song morphed into a Cardinal Nation Anthem, and so it became what you hear here.
 
The St. Louis Cardinals are one of the best teams in baseball and I have had the privilege of growing up a fan of this amazing team. This song could be 10 minutes long if I were to name all of the amazing players over the years, including the current roster, but I had to shorten it up a bit. Also, for future recordings I’m already going to change the lyrics from, “we can beat the Cubbies” to “we will beat the Cubbies” in a instances. I was using “can” in place of  “will” at some points in this recording. After hearing it back I realize that it could be misconstrued as “can’t”. We know that’s not right. We can and will beat the Cubbies and every other team! 

Also, the bit about the Sodi and a free straw - there was a vendor at Busch Stadium 2 who used to say that. I haven't seen him at Busch 3, but I hope I just haven't been fortunate enough to sit in his section yet.

I love baseball.
