Tale of the Tune:
I wrote this song in Marin County, California on May 26, 2015.  If you’ve never been to Marin County, let alone California, you should go visit. It is an amazingly beautiful place.
 
Just prior to leaving for this trip, I picked up a songwriting journal at my local haberdashery (which, by the way, is the first time the First Take Friday Songwriting Series became more than just an idea - It would be another year and a half before I posted the first episode).
 
After my first night in Marin, I woke up to a beautiful sunrise with Mt. Tamalpais in the distance. I was inspired to pull out my new journal and do some writing. I wrote the lyrics to this song that day, but I had completely forgotten about it until last night.
 
Fast forward to February 13, 2014, I was planning to write/record this week’s song when I thumbed through my journal and I found these lyrics.  Lo and behold, I picked up my guitar and this tune came out.
 
I really appreciate all the support that I’ve received from all of you. I’m having a blast!
